About Me

OUR BACKGROUND

Africa faces numerous health challenges including infectious diseases, a rising burden of non-communicable diseases, healthcare worker shortages, and inadequate health financing systems. Despite these challenges, there have been remarkable innovations and progress in different parts of the continent. The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted both vulnerabilities and strengths within African health systems, creating an urgent need to share knowledge, build capacity, and foster collaboration across countries.

This conference aims to bring together health professionals, researchers, policymakers, and key stakeholders to showcase successes, discuss challenges, and chart a path forward for building resilient health systems that can achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) across Africa. By creating a platform for knowledge exchange and networking, the conference will catalyse collaborative efforts toward strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes throughout the continent.
